Since their parents brought them home.

So, I couldn’t say, “No,”

And leave Jill all alone.

I called to my mommy,

In the chair where she sat,

“We have to help Jill

Find that silly, grey cat.”

As I ran through the ditch

To get to Jill’s house,

I wondered if Muffin

Was just chasing a mouse?

We ran up the steps

And in the back door.

We saw Muffin’s toys

All over the floor.

We took a deep sniff

But no trail could be found.

So, we made up a plan

To look all around.
